Key Benefits of 3D Virtual Tours for Real Estate

A tour turns a listing into a walkthrough. Here is what that changes for the buyer and for your sales team.

Online Showings 24/7

Prospects move from room to room through clickable hotspots and explore at their own pace. It works like an agent available around the clock. Tours come from the same 3D rendering company that makes your stills.

More Views and Attention

Nobody leaves the page without walking the property first. Embed the tour in your site or listing: it opens right in the browser, no app to install. Our guide to virtual tours of houses in 3D covers the process and the costs.

Lifestyle Inspiration

Why show walls when what you sell is a lifestyle? A tour lets buyers walk the rooms, see how the light falls through them, and picture themselves living in the place long before construction ends.

Emotional Connection

Let viewers feel what living there is like. Real decor, textures and colors on screen do what a floor plan cannot: they make people attach to a property they have never set foot in, and remember it afterwards.

Types of Architectural 3D Virtual Tours We Create

A tour does not have to stop at one room. We link panoramas into a continuous walk, so a viewer steps from the kitchen out to the terrace, then down to the lobby and the pool, without leaving the page. How many points that takes depends on the property and on what actually sells it.

Residential Interiors and Exteriors

Show buyers the future home exactly as architects designed it, inside and out. Give them a vivid online experience that feels real.

Communities

Invite future residents to experience the neighborhood online. Show parks, schools, and amenities that bring the community to life.

Commercial Interiors

Present your commercial project through a 3D virtual tour. Let people walk through the planned restaurant or office and picture the finished space.

Residential Interiors

Show how a new home will look and feel before it is built. A 3D virtual interior tour helps buyers see the space as if it already exists and decide with confidence.

Virtual Tours for Amenities

3D virtual tours showcase amenities like clubhouses, pools, fitness centers, and lounges. Prospects can explore shared spaces online and see the lifestyle a property offers beyond the units.

3D Maps to Show Projects in the Real-World Context

We create virtual 3D maps that place your architectural project into Google Maps. This helps clients see exactly how the future building fits into the surrounding neighborhood.

360 Virtual Tours for Real Estate: How They Work

3D apartment tour: living room with a corner sofa and a city view through full-height glazing

3D apartment tour: living room with a corner sofa and a city view through full-height glazing

A 360 virtual tour for real estate is a single panoramic render that lets viewers look around a space in every direction, a full 360° view from one viewpoint. It’s not a photograph: it’s a photorealistic CGI scene built at 6000×3000 px from architectural plans, so developers can showcase a room or exterior that hasn’t been built yet.

This is the core building block of a larger virtual tour experience. One 360 panorama captures a penthouse living room or a lobby entrance; combine multiple panoramas with hotspot transitions, and buyers get a self-guided 360 house tour through an entire property. Either way, every scene is a render, meaning a virtual house tour can be produced for a project that exists only on paper, giving buyers a feel for materials, lighting, and spatial flow months before construction.

A finished 3D walkthrough embeds into any website via HTML or iframe and runs in mobile apps: compatible with most listing platforms for presale pages, MLS entries, or investor presentations.

For fully immersive experiences, we build tours on Unreal Engine. These let users navigate freely through a space in real time, while in a 360 virtual tour, viewers explore from fixed hotspot viewpoints where they can look around and zoom in/out.

Feedback from Our 3D Virtual Tour Clients

We are thrilled to have found ArchiCGI

We are thrilled to have found ArchiCGI. They have a super fluid, efficient process that makes communication a breeze. They met our deadline with ease, and they were a pleasure to work with. The renderings came out even better than I expected. We can't wait to work with them on future projects!

First time working with ArchiCGI

A nice bunch of people who produced some images we were very happy with in the end. There was a lot of back and forth with tweaks and changes, which ArchiCGI were happy to do. There was a slight timing issue where the production of the images took a bit longer than anticipated, but it got done in the end. Generally they were well managed, with a tracked information exchange system which worked well. We'll certainly use them again.

Easy to work with. Fantastic results!

I found ArchiCGI on Instagram as I was searching for a company to provide renderings for a new construction project for our clients, and I couldn't be happier that I came across their page. They've been amazing to work with - very thorough, asking all the right questions, the level of communication is professional, courteous and prompt, they clearly take pride in their work and they have reason to - their work is beautiful. The results surpassed our expectations and we have now used them for multiple projects and will continue to do so. Couldn't recommend them higher!

Frequently Asked Questions

You will get:
• panoramic 3D renderings in 6000×3000 px resolution
• a zip archive with an HTML file upon request

You get a zip archive with an HTML file, so the tour is yours to put wherever your buyers are.

Your website
Upload the archive and publish the tour as its own page, or drop it into an existing page with an iframe tag. It opens in any browser, on desktop and on a phone, with nothing to install.

Listings and portals
Most listing platforms accept a link to an external tour, so the same file works on your site and in the listing.

Printed and on-site materials
A QR code on a brochure, a site hoarding or a signboard opens the tour on a phone. That matters most while the address is still a fence and a crane.

Email and CRM
The tour is a link, so it goes into a follow-up email or a nurture sequence like any other URL.

Social media
Platforms treat interactive content differently and the rules keep changing, so the reliable route is to post the link with a still panorama as the preview image.

3D virtual property tours show future homes in photorealistic quality. Posted on websites, they present properties 24/7 and attract more prospects to the listings. Virtual property tours are also interactive. They allow people to view every part of the space for as long as they need.

We can create a show-stopping VR interactive tour for you. The real estate 3D virtual tours shown on this page are made in 3ds Max and are not VR compatible. If you need VR real estate virtual tours, please let us know before the project starts. In that case, we will use the Unreal Engine software.

To create a virtual tour, 3D artists need a set of documents. These include floor plans, elevations, furniture layouts, lighting schemes, selected furniture and finishing materials, and background images. Every tour also has hotspots. These indicators help viewers navigate the virtual rooms. In your project brief, you should specify how many hotspots you want in your tour and where you want them.

An estimate has two parts: the 3D work on the spaces themselves, plus $100 for every viewpoint in the tour. A typical residential project lands between $1,600 and $4,000, depending on how many viewpoints you need and how much custom modeling the interiors take. Send us the drawings and you get a fixed quote within an hour. For a full breakdown of what moves the number, see our 3D virtual tour pricing breakdown.

A video walkthrough is a pre-rendered animation, and viewers watch a fixed camera path. A 3D virtual tour is interactive: viewers move through the space themselves, look around 360°, and explore rooms in any order at their own pace. Tours create stronger engagement, while videos are better for social media and ads, and many of our clients order both.

A typical tour of one property takes about one to two weeks, depending on the number of rooms and the level of detail. We start the same day we receive your brief, send intermediate results for review, and deliver the final tour ready to embed on your website or listing.

A 360 virtual tour is a single panoramic render, one viewpoint where the viewer looks around a space in every direction. A 3D virtual tour lets users move freely through a fully modeled environment, similar to a video game. Multiple 360 panoramas can be linked with hotspot transitions to create a navigable tour, but each individual panorama remains a standalone 360° scene.

The spaces are modeled and rendered in 3ds Max with V-Ray, and the tour itself is a set of linked 360° panoramas that opens in any browser, with no plugin or app to install. Projects meant for a VR headset are built in Unreal Engine instead, so tell us before the start if that is the plan. Nothing is needed on your side. The property does not exist yet, so there is no camera, no scanner and no site visit involved: we work from your drawings.

A scan needs the building to be finished, because someone has to walk the real space with a camera. Our tours are rendered from drawings, so a buyer can walk the apartment while the site is still a foundation. That is the whole point for presales. There is a second difference: a scan captures a space exactly as it stands, while a rendered tour shows the finishes, furniture and light you plan to sell, and any of it can be changed before launch.
